About Us

Our Mission:

To support bold, visionary filmmakers while advancing the art form of film with remarkable cinematic technologies and experiences.

Our Festival:

Founded in 2010, the Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts was founded by a group of industry professionals to showcase the best and the brightest of new and veteran filmmakers of all genres.

As a part of a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, the Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts is internationally recognized as a premiere showcase for creative, inspiring, and influential films of all types including avant-garde and experimental, story-based narratives, documentaries, and animation.

The Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts receives more than 1,000 submissions annually from more than 40 countries. The Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts celebrates the work of new and veteran independent storytellers who choose to create and share their work with the world.

Bringing tomorrow’s technology to the independent film world today, the Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts uses a revolutionary online screening platform and virtual theatre system to showcase the best and the brightest films from around the globe and across the United States to the world of independent film lovers everywhere.

Our virtual theater offers filmmakers not only the exposure to the world that they deserve, but does so keeping the integrity of the film and the filmmaker’s trust always fully intact.

Much like a brick and mortar screening, our virtual theater allows the filmmaker’s work to be showcased to the world with the highest levels of security and presentation quality. Unlike any other online screening system in use around the world today, ours never allows films to be copied, downloaded, or to be reproduced in any way, nor can the html code of any film be copied and pasted into any other site successfully. No film launched in our virtual theater can play or even appear on any other website.

With cutting-edge technology, years of service to the independent film community worldwide, and the highest level of safety and security for the independent filmmaker’s work, the Director’s Circle Festival Of Shorts continues to bring lovers and crafters of the cinematic arts together from one corner of the globe to the other.
